Jonathan Owens is a Summer Intern at Malecki Law in New York, New York. Jonathan is a 3L at New York Law School and is graduating in December 2023. Jonathan attended Rutgers University-New Brunswick where he received degrees in both Economics and Political Science.

Before attending law school, Jonathan worked as an Operations Intermediate Specialist in Brown Brothers Harriman’s (BBH’s) Investor Services Division. In this role, he helped institutional clients perform various transactions and performed many recordkeeping functions and internal business operations for the bank. He also assisted the bank in various system testing projects to ensure that BBH’s custody platform ran efficiently for its clients and assisted with training new employees and interns during the summer months.

Additionally, Jonathan worked as a Loan Advisor for Freedom Mortgage Corporation, where he assisted and advised clients on how to refinance their homes. In this role, he provided clients with guidance on how to fill out refinance applications and gave possible solutions to any problems that arose during the loan process.

In his spare time, Jonathan is an avid sports fan. His teams are the New York Rangers, New York Giants, and New York Mets. He also enjoys activities such as running, biking, swimming, and chess. Lastly, he enjoys devoting time to improving his golf game.
