Originally from Georgia, Nino earned her Juris Doctor degree and successfully passed the Georgian Bar Examination before beginning her legal career in the country's financial sector. From the earliest stages of her legal education, she developed a strong interest in finance law and financial regulation, an area that would ultimately define much of her professional journey. Throughout more than eight years of practice in Georgia, she represented financial institutions and corporate clients before courts, government ministries, regulatory agencies, and arbitration tribunals.
During this period, Nino litigated more than 250 cases across multiple levels of courts and arbitration forums, handling a broad range of complex commercial, financial, and regulatory matters. Her extensive litigation experience allowed her to develop strategic case management capabilities and a comprehensive understanding of legal risk assessment. In addition to her courtroom and arbitration practice, she advised clients on regulatory compliance and corporate governance issues, drafting and reviewing internal policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks designed to address evolving legal and regulatory requirements.
To broaden her expertise and gain a deeper understanding of American law, Nino pursued advanced legal studies in the United States. In 2019, she earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Banking, Corporate, and Finance Law from Fordham University School of Law. Through this academic experience, she further strengthened her analytical abilities and developed a comprehensive understanding of the legal frameworks governing financial markets and corporate entities in the United States.
Since relocating to the United States, Nino has built a diverse legal career across several practice areas, including immigration, corporate, compliance, and securities litigation. Her immigration law experience includes assisting clients in obtaining lawful permanent resident status and navigating complex immigration processes. In the corporate law and compliance arena, she conducted legal research, reviewed corporate governance practices, revised compliance procedures, and helped organizations strengthen internal controls and regulatory compliance programs.
Nino's experience in securities law has been significant. She has worked on complex securities litigation matters involving allegations of investment fraud, broker misconduct, unsuitable investment recommendations, unauthorized trading, breach of fiduciary duty, and violations of federal and state securities laws. She has contributed to litigation and arbitration matters involving claims exceeding $35 million, requiring detailed legal analysis, extensive document review, case strategy development, and coordination with clients, experts, and legal teams. Her work has provided her with a deep understanding of the regulatory environment governing broker-dealers, investment advisers, financial institutions, and securities professionals.
